The Scope

Inspired by the kaleidoscope, the lights structure playfully references the materials and generates the self-repeating patterns of this wondrous object. The flowing form comfortably winds itself through the lobby space adding intrigue and beauty to the building.
The source of the inspiration was chosen carefully not only to specifically tie it to the buildings name but also the occurring patterns reminded us of the beautiful Islamic patterns further referencing the buildings greater location, making this a very bespoke piece just for this space.
The light will react much like a living organism to the people who will pass under it to create a immersive experience that constantly changes and will never be twice the same, much like every single moment of ones life. The construction of the light is based on repeating modules making production and installation more efficient and enhancing the concept of patterns
