Happiness Tree Masdar
The very nature of a tree speaks volumes of sustainable design. It represents a robust but yet a fragile living organism.
The leaves hit by the sun, triggering a series of chain reactions. Photosynthesis, converting the suns energy into beautiful colours as well as producing oxygen and storing carbon.
As water is evaporated and consumed a capillary effect draws more water up from the roots of the tree.
The design is simulating the same to give a place for reflection and inspiration.

The Predicament
“The Predicament”
This installation is inspired by the legal penalty system in Islam known in Arabic as ALQisas. The corporal nature of this system makes it a contentious topic especially when considered in isolation. It demonstrates the inseparability of the physical and the metaphysical; of the body, and the system where that body resides.
Angle
In conjunction with the development of ‘The Scope’, HID designed ‘Angle’ as
a sister modular product. Lending itself well to many scales and forms, the
inspiration was to reflect the cityscape of Abu Dhabi. To create a subtle
modern candlelit design it brings the cityscape into the living environment,
and replicating the 24h passing of time in the city
